The Clear Alternative to Braces

We use Invisalign as an adjunctive treatment when poorly aligned teeth compromise an otherwise attractive smile.  Often adults are happy with their bites and the overall appearance of their teeth apart from some crowding of their lower or upper front teeth.  

Sometimes the desired outcome can easily be achieved by placing porcelain veneers or crowns.  Other times it is better to reposition the teeth.  Sometimes, a combination of treatments is used to align the teeth and then enhance their shape or colour with porcelain veneers. Invisalign orthodontic treatment uses a series of clear, removable aligners that are custom moulded to fit the teeth.

They gently reposition the teeth often in about twelve months or less and are an effective alternative for many people, particularly adults who want a treatment option that is virtually invisible. There are no metal  wires or bands and most people won’t know you are in treatment. Each set of clear, invisible aligners is worn for two weeks and is removable for eating, brushing and flossing. As each aligner is replaced with the next in the series, the teeth move little by little, week by week until they reach their desired position and you have a smile you are proud of.
